This laboratory course in parasitology provides hands-on experience in the identification, study, and analysis of protozoan, helminth, and arthropod parasites. Students will learn laboratory techniques to examine parasite morphology, life stages, and diagnostic features using microscopy. The course covers the collection and preparation of specimens, as well as the identification of common parasites that impact human and animal health. Through practical exercises, students will gain a deeper understanding of parasite biology, host-parasite interactions, and the clinical and ecological significance of parasitic infections. Emphasis will be placed on the role of parasites in disease transmission, as well as the use of diagnostic methods in a variety of settings, from clinical environments to ecological research. This course is designed to complement theoretical knowledge in parasitology and provide essential skills for students pursuing careers in medicine, public health, agriculture, or research.
