This course is designed to provide current Medical Interpreters or individuals who wish to begin a career in medical interpreting with skills pertaining to health care settings. The course will present a foundation for medical interpreter ethics, an overview of the US healthcare system, and familiarize the students with the vocabulary of the main body systems, as well as medical procedures within the context of real-life triadic encounters. Emphasis will be given in the study of Musculoskeletal, Cardio, Digestive, and other Systems
