A detailed, problem-oriented study of the fundamental principles that govern chemical processes and reactions. Topics include (but are not limited to): atomic structure, Periodic Table, chemical bonding, molecular structure and intermolecular attractions, nomenclature of inorganic compounds, stoichiometry, gases and properties of solutions.

This course is offered via College of Saint Mary’s partnership with Rize, an education company that prepares students for careers in the fastest-growing fields. Courses are designed by top academics and industry leaders, approved by College of Saint Mary, and taught by faculty at other colleges and universities.
