This course is designed to provide current Medical Interpreters or individuals who wish to begin a career in medical interpreting with skills pertaining to health care settings. The course will present a foundation for medical interpreter ethics and an overview of the US healthcare system, familiarization with terms describing body systems and medical procedures in the context of real-life triadic encounters. Emphasis will be given in the study of Reproductive, Respiratory, and other Systems.
