Alternate Admissions Pathway

Applicants who do not meet the criteria for the general admission process and show potential for success may be reviewed for alternate admissions pathway. conditional admission to the university. A representative from the Admissions will contact the applicant for an interview and/or essay to learn more about their potential for success as well as a letter(s) for recommendation.

Students who are admitted via Alternate Admissions Pathway will be required to complete an academic success strategies course and register for a maximum of 14 credits during their first semester. Students will be required to take IDS 121 (Strategies for Success), except for PreNursing students who will be required to take IDS 140. First year students will be required to participate in the CSM Advantage program. Other requirements may be stated upon acceptance through the Alternate Admissions Pathway.
